How Your Congregation Can Help | Second Collection/Second Offering

There are so many ways for you to support the CLF:

• Make outright gifts, pledge payments or pledge commitments.  Plan your giving—the CLF pledge year corresponds to the calendar year.
• Simplify your giving by arranging automated credit card or electronic fund transfer donations.  Scheduling your contributions can spread them throughout the year ensuring they won’t be forgotten, and the CLF will be able to predict its cash flow with better accuracy.
• Gift a gift to celebrate or honor someone or something special in your life.  The CLF can notify designated recipients that a gift was made.
• Learn about making gifts of securities or contributing IRA Assets to the CLF.  In many cases these gifts can help us while providing tax benefits to you.
• Learn how to leave the CLF in your will, or explore other planned giving options.  Bequests and planned gifts have played a significant role in helping the CLF to endure for over 60 years.
• Start at the CLF when making purchases on Amazon.com, and the CLF will receive a portion of the money you spend.  You’ll find a link to Amazon on our home page, or click
• Explore how your congregation can help the CLF.  The CLF has played a role in founding more than 450 UU congregations, and our work continues even today.  Bricks and mortar churches can support the CLF’s work in myriad ways.
• Invite someone you know to become a CLF member. The CLF welcomes all, including those in the military, the incarcerated, those with physical or emotional constraints that preclude participation in a traditional worship setting, and contented bricks and mortar congregants who want to further their own explorations.  Go to the Invite a Friend area of our website for resources and you can do your inviting online!
• Give gifts of the CLF’s worship publication, Quest, to your friends to provide ongoing ministry and reflection.
• Patronize the CLF shop for your church and personal needs—a terrific resource for UU order-of-service covers, jewelry (great coming-of-age gifts!), or note cards appropriate for use for many occasions throughout the year.  Stock up to have them on hand, and help fund the CLF at the same time.
• Sponsor your young adults in the Church of the Younger Fellowship, our congregation by and for young adults, to maintain UU connections for those with mobile lifestyles.
