Farewell From Your Intern Minister
BY DAN KANE, CLF MINISTERIAL INTERN
It’s difficult for me to believe that it has been ten months since I began my internship with the Church of the Larger Fellowship. It has been an amazing time of learning and growth for me, and I feely deeply indebted to the members and friends of the CLF for all that I have experienced and all that I have learned over these past ten months. Thank you.
I am so grateful for your patience and generosity of spirit towards me over this past church year. I cannot imagine a better congregation in which to practice and learn about all of the skills that go into making a Unitarian Universalist minister. I will always consider the time I have spent here at the CLF as some of the most important and influential of my life.
Whether it was working on Quest, helping the CLF toward becoming an official Welcoming Congregation for gay, lesbian and transgender people, or creating worship and religious education resources, every task taught me about the importance of relationship, connection and authenticity. This is an extraordinary congregation, with exceptional ministers and the most amazing and dedicated staff. It is a gift to our movement, just as are all of you.
